ITB 2025 is just around the corner. The world’s largest travel trade show will take place in Berlin from March 4 to 6, and of course, the VIR and many of our member companies will be there again this year. We are delighted to be represented once again with an exhibitor booth. A varied program awaits us—in addition to numerous meetings, we have also prepared exciting events for you. We can’t wait to see many of you in person again and to exchange ideas with all visitors. Take a look at our activities:

VIR Online Travel Agency Member Lunch

We invite all VIR Online Travel Agency (OTA) members to a lunch at ITB for a personal meet-and-greet. The event will take place on Tuesday, March 4, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.We’ll meet at our VIR sub-exhibitor booth at GIATA in Hall 5.1. You can look forward to a selection of delicious soups and beverages.

VIR Insights and News from the Travel Technology Tour

Building on the success of last year’s “Behind the Scenes of Travel Technology” tour, we’re inviting you once again to an exciting “Insights and News from the TravelTechnology” tour on Wednesday, March 5, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. As the Association of Digital Tourism, we aim to highlight the importance of travel tech providers to the industry, the press, and policymakers through this initiative.

During the tour, we’ll visit various companies at their booths, each of which will dedicate 20 minutes exclusively to presenting their business model, technical solutions, and innovative approaches. Participants will also gain valuable insights into current trends and developments in travel technology, as well as the complexity of booking a vacation. We’ll provide a clear explanation of the systems and technologies used behind the scenes.

Because one thing is certain: without the expertise of these tech professionals, booking a vacation wouldn't be possible! We look forward to an exciting journey behind the scenes of the digital travel industry.

VIR search4talents Tour

It is often difficult for students to make direct contact with companies. That is why we, the Association of Internet Travel Distribution, have launched the search4talents tours, during which we visit the booths of some of our member companies at ITB Berlin with tourism students from various universities. These companies set aside time exclusively to present their businesses, discuss their business models, projects, internships, thesis opportunities, and career entry, and, of course, answer questions.

This year's company tour as part of ITB Berlin 2024 will take place on Thursday, March 6, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Invitation to the "France Meets Germany" Get-Together

Together with Business France We cordially invite you to a special networking event at ITB Berlin. The “France meets Germany” get-together offers an ideal opportunity to explore the synergies between the German and French startup scenes and to connect with innovative companies in the travel tech industry.

On March 5 at 5:00 p.m. at the France booth in Hall 6.1, Booth 220, participants can look forward to a brief, engaging presentation on German business models, current trends, and market developments. There will also be valuable insights into the support opportunities available to startups in Germany through the VIR.

In addition to professional insights, the event focuses on personal interaction. It offers an opportunity to build valuable connections across national borders and engage in conversation with French and German industry experts. We look forward to welcoming many interested guests.
