ITB 2024 is just around the corner. The world’s largest travel trade show will take place in Berlin from March 5–7, 2024. The VIR and numerous member companies will once again be on-site this year. While we covered countless kilometers at the show last year, we’ll be back with our own exhibition booth this year. A packed schedule is already guaranteed. In addition to various meetings, we’ve also planned a few events for you. We look forward to seeing many of you in person and to engaging in fruitful discussions with all fair visitors. VIR as a sub-exhibitor at the GIATA booth

VIR Online Travel Agency Member Lunch

To get to know each other in person, we invite all VIR Online Travel Agency (OTA) members to join us for lunch at ITB. The event will take place on Tuesday, March 5. We’ll meet at our VIR sub-exhibitor booth at GIATA in Hall 5.1. We’ll keep the schedule flexible so everyone can drop by whenever it’s convenient.

VIR “Behindthe Scenes of TravelTechnology” Tour

As the Association of Digital Tourism, we aim to highlight the importance of travel tech providers through the VIR “Travel Tech Behind the Scenes” tour and offer a glimpse into the inner workings of the tourism industry. Each company will have an exclusive 20-minute slot to present itself, its business model, technical solutions, and much more—and, of course, to answer questions. Participants will also receive essential information on trends and innovative developments in the field of travel technology. In addition, the tour will provide in-depth information on the complexity of booking a vacation and explain the systems behind it. Because one thing is clear: without these tech experts, there would be no vacation bookings!

VIR search4talents Tour

It is often difficult for students to make direct contact with companies. That is why we, the Association of Internet Travel Distribution, have launched the search4talents tours, during which we visit the booths of some of our member companies at ITB Berlin with tourism students from various universities. These companies set aside time exclusively to present their businesses, discuss their business models, projects, internships, thesis opportunities, and career entry, and, of course, answer questions.

This year's company tour as part of ITB Berlin 2024 will take place on Thursday, March 7, from 10:00 a.m. to approximately 1:00 p.m.
