Do you enjoy working with people, find joy in organizing and coordinating, are looking for a varied role, and want to gain detailed insights into the various segments of digital tourism? Then working at our association is the perfect fit for you!

To support our team, we are looking for a dedicated, versatile individual to join us starting in September 2023 as:

Working student or mandatory intern

With over 80 member companies, the Association for Online Travel Distribution (VIR) is the leading trade association for the digital tourism sector in Germany. Since its founding in 2004, the VIR has established itself as the primary point of contact for policymakers, the media, young professionals, and the industry on issues related to digital tourism. It drives significant new developments and raises industry awareness of issues such as innovation promotion and legal developments at the EU and federal levels. In addition, the association publishes industry statistics in collaboration with market research institutes and initiates PR campaigns and events. Last but not least, it specifically supports the next generation through a startup competition and a series of university initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include, for example:

Support with event organization: e.g., participant management, managing the ticket shop, service management
Support with marketing and communications activities: e.g., creating informational and promotional materials, maintaining the website, researching and writing blog posts, managing social media presence
Member Support and Services

Your personal qualifications should include:

A degree in tourism, event management, or a related field
Großes Koordinations- und Organisationsgeschick
Initiative and enjoyment of working independently
good command of English
