First TIC & VIR Travel Start-up Night 2023: Five start-ups will present themselves and their business ideas on January 19 at the CMT/Messe Stuttgart
Munich, January 12, 2023 (w&p) – Young entrepreneurial spirit is the focus of the first Travel Start-up Night 2023, which the Travel Industry Club (TIC) and the Association of Online Travel Agencies (VIR) are hosting on January 19, 2023, at the CMT/Messe Stuttgart.
After the trade show closes, five founders will present themselves and their innovative business ideas to interested tourism professionals and entrepreneurs. Start-up Night in Stuttgart kicks off a series of additional events that will take place throughout the year. The first five startups pitching in Stuttgart are Flixorder, oneGuide, ProTagged, TravelOut, and urbnups. At the Start-up Nights 2023 finale at the end of the year, the winners from all editions will compete for the title of “Travel Start-up 2023.”
New this year: Due to the decline in new business start-ups during the pandemic, start-ups that are no more than five years old as of their founding date are also eligible to participate this year.
“At Start-up Nights, established entrepreneurs can draw inspiration from the business ideas of the next generation and think outside the box,” emphasizes VIR Board Member Michael Buller. TIC President Markus Tressel adds: “Start-up Nights, which we are continuing for the eighth year, inspire us anew every time with the energy, zeal, and enthusiasm of the young founders. The exchange with them offers great value to everyone involved. As organizers, we are very much looking forward to this year’s new Start-up series.”

The registration fee is €59.90, including VAT. Startups that are three years old or younger from the date of founding, VIR members, TIC members, and students may participate free of charge. Another special feature of Start-up Night at CMT: All registered participants will receive a free admission ticket to the trade show for the day of the event.
