Invitation to a virtual university evening with VIR startups on the topic of starting a business on November 23, 2021

How do I find the right idea for my startup? Is my business idea any good? Where do I start? What are the challenges? How do I secure funding? These and many other questions often come up when it comes to starting a business.

To give students an insight into starting a startup, the Association of Online Travel Sales (VIR) is hosting a virtual event on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at 6:00 p.m.

At the virtual university evening, three founders from the VIR startup cluster will share their experiences and answer questions. Joining us are Björn Viergutz, founder of Juvigo, Europe’s specialist in supervised summer camps, youth trips, and language travel, as well as Michael Carlin and Christoph Kähler from the startup MOTOURISMO, which helps motorcyclists discover the whole world on two wheels with their hands on the throttle. Also joining us is Christian Diener from unplanned, which had to file for bankruptcy last year, and he’ll explain why it’s not the end of the world if a startup venture doesn’t pan out. The founders will share how the idea for their startups came about, talk about their fears and concerns as well as their successes and failures, and offer you tips and advice.

The program is rounded out by a brief overview of entrepreneurship from a university perspective.

Participation is free and will take place virtually via Zoom. Please register in advance using the following link: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZMucOqoqD8uGd1ZecS0jNIwpHXGYAUFKoBy

We look forward to the discussion and hope to see many of you there!
