Fatales Signal an die Branche und den Tourismus-Standort Deutschland: Als solches bezeichnet das Aktionsbündnis Tourismusvielfalt (ATV) die Pläne des Bundesfinanzministeriums (BMF), das ab dem 1. Januar des kommenden Jahres plant, Reiseleistungen im Touristik- und MICE-Bereich für Unternehmen mit Sitz in einem Drittland zu besteuern.

At the fifth TIC & VIR Travel Start-up Night in Berlin, five exciting travel startups once again had the opportunity to pitch their ideas to an interested audience and win them over with their concepts.
In a joint statement, leading tourism associations—including numerous member companies of the Alliance for Tourism Diversity (ATV)—have criticized the draft of the new Infection Protection Act, which was approved yesterday by the Federal Cabinet.
Discussions are currently underway between the federal government and the states regarding the Infection Protection Act and additional protective measures to curb the COVID-19 pandemic starting in the fall of 2022. The German Bundestag and Bundesrat are expected to debate them shortly. For this reason, the coalition of tourism associations—ASR, BTW, DEHOGA, DRV, DTV, IHA, RDA, and VIR—issued a critical statement regarding the revision of the Infection Protection Act and made an urgent appeal to policymakers. The associations also received support from the Tourism Diversity Action Alliance, which includes an additional 28 industry associations from the tourism sector. The primary objective was the removal of the measures addressed in the letter, which would once again significantly impact and restrict tourism.
