The Association of Online Travel Agencies (VIR) has issued a positive interim report for the 2022 travel season. Online travel agencies saw significantly higher revenue this summer compared to 2019.

Munich, June 2, 2022 (w&p) – Zaubar takes the top spot: At the Start-up Night held during the VIR Online Innovation Days, the Berlin-based augmented reality platform won over the audience to claim first place. cycle.deals took second place among the five contenders. Together with the top two finishers from each of the other Start-up Nights organized by the Verband Internet Reisevertrieb e.V. (VIR) and the Travel Industry Club (TIC), the two industry newcomers will advance to the grand finale at the end of the year.

Mit frischem Wind nach vorne: Das Aktionsbündnis Tourismusvielfalt (ATV) hat sich auf einer Klausurtagung in Berlin mit den für die Branche schwierigen vergangenen zwei Jahren der Pandemie beschäftigt und Bilanz gezogen. Die Teilnehmer*innen von den angeschlossenen 28 Verbänden haben sich auf der Tagung intensiv mit der zukünftigen Aufstellung und Ausrichtung des Bündnisses im deutschen Tourismus beschäftigt und über die Ziele, Maßnahmen und Strategien gesprochen. Alles stand unter der Überschrift: „Wie geht es weiter?“
