Carsten Mürl

Carsten Mürl is the Product & Solutions Lead for Germany at Mastercard. In this role, he has been responsible for developing and implementing the product strategy in Germany since December 2023. His responsibilities include identifying, prioritizing, and launching new payment solutions. Previously, Carsten Mürl was responsible for security solutions such as authentication, 3-D Secure, and fraud detection at Mastercard’s Cyber & Intelligence Solutions division (Germany). He has more than 25 years of experience in the payments industry. Before joining Mastercard, he worked at Deutsche Bank as head of the card division, where his responsibilities included new card programs such as the Debit Mastercard and the introduction of new applications such as the Card App and mobile payment. He studied business informatics at the University of Applied Sciences in Karlsruhe.
