Today we’d like to introduce you to our full-stack developer, Oussama Fezzani. Oussama grew up in Tunisia, where he also earned his degree from an engineering school. After working remotely for a startup in France, he pursued his ambition and applied for jobs in Germany: “I feel that, in terms of technology, Berlin is much more exciting than other tech hubs in Europe.”

That’s when we at Flyla received his application. Since we’re a small team, we have to choose our team members carefully. We look for experts in their respective fields, reliable and high-quality work—and someone who’s a great fit for the team. And Oussama won us over right away.

After initially working remotely, Oussama finally moved to Berlin in the spring of 2023, where our core team is based. Thanks to a smooth transition from Tunisia to Germany—not least due to the support of the Localyze team—Oussama is now happy in the capital. He enjoys the laid-back and relaxed atmosphere and has made close friends. The only things dampening his experience are the lingering language barrier and the weather. “This is the coldest weather I’ve ever experienced in my entire life. This year I saw snow for the first time ever.”

Working with Oussama has led us to actively seek out additional team members abroad, specifically in Tunisia. That’s why we established our technology office there and met Khairi and Imed, who joined us earlier this year. With the help of Oussama, Khairi, and Imed, we look forward to expanding our team further.
